Description

The Baptist Chapel, built in 1863, is a brick structure with a Welsh slate roof. It features a pedimented gable facing the street, designed in two storeys and three bays, which are highlighted by full height blank arcading with slim pilasters. The outer bays contain panelled doors framed by coarsely moulded architraves. The central window and upper windows have rounded heads and margin lights, each with a small central opening light. All window openings have flat arched heads with keystones. The side walls also have four tall windows that resemble those on the front elevation. A date stone in the pedimented gable reads "erected A.D. MDCCCLXIII".
