Description

This is an early 17th-century house located on Main Street, Counstesthorpe. It is a timber-framed building with brick infill panels and a Welsh slate roof. The house has eight very narrow bays of timber framing, displaying straight-arch bracing and middle rails. Two bays are positioned to the left of the doorway, but a blocked doorway on the front elevation to the right indicates that it may have originally been two separate dwellings. The windows are replacements, consisting of two and three-light casements. A gable end stack is located behind the entrance.
