Description
No. 10 Orchard Lane is a house that dates back to the core of the 16th century or early 17th century, but it was refaced in the early 19th century. The building features a timber frame internally, which is cased in brick, and has a Welsh slate roof. It is two storeys high and has been heightened, with a two-unit plan that includes a central door and renewed three-light casement windows. Inside, two main elements of the timber frame are partially visible, likely crucks made of wide scantling, halved and pinned at the apex. The interior also includes an inglenook and spine beams, all of which have stopped chamfers.
