Description

Elms Farmhouse is a brick farmhouse dating to 1801-1804, with alterations made in the early 20th century. Built of red brick on a stone plinth, it features gauged brick dressings, a plain tile roof, brick gable stacks, one brick ridge stack, and a stepped eaves band. The farmhouse is two storeys high with garrets and comprises four bays.

On the south side, a segment-headed doorcase contains a panelled door and a small-paned overlight. To the right of the doorcase is a three-light segment-headed window with two-paned casements beneath and fixed small panes above. To the north of the doorcase is a central bay window with sashes below plain stone lintels; the upper sashes have glazing bars while the lower sashes do not. A matching three-light window sits to the north of the bay window, and to the south a similar window. The upper floor features three similar windows and a two-light window above the door. A fire insurance plaque is situated to the north of a window.
