Description
Kiosk Cottage is a pair of cottages that have been converted into a single house. It dates from the early 18th century and has been altered and extended in the 19th century, with further changes made in the 20th century. The building is constructed of red brick and features plain tile roofs with dentilled eaves bands, along with one brick ridge stack and one brick side wall stack.
The structure is two storeys high and consists of three bays, with a single storey, single bay section to the south. The main elevation includes a gabled open porch that shelters a segment-headed doorcase with a plank door to the south. This is flanked by a flat-headed three-light horizontal sliding glazing bar sash window to the south and a similar two-light window to the north. To the north of these, there is a blocked segment-headed doorcase and a smaller two-light window. The single storey section to the south has two blocked segment-headed doorcases, one of which is partly filled by a two-light casement window. Above this section, there are three flat-headed two-light small pane casements.
Inside, the cottage features stopped chamfered ceiling beams and an inglenook fireplace with a bracketed stone fireplace.
