Description
A barn dating from the early 19th century, with later additions, stands to the northwest of the farmhouse at St Bride’s Farm. The barn is constructed from stone rubble with flush quoins and brick dressings. It has a plain tile roof with a dentilled brick eaves band. The two-storey, two-bay structure features a west-facing elevation with a central depressed segmental arched doorcase, incorporating a stone keyblock, and a row of slit breathers above. Below the doorcase, to the north, is a small segment-headed opening with a 20th-century smaller opening inserted. Above the doorcase, on either side, are similar smaller arched openings with stone keyblocks, now both blocked. Other facades contain similar openings and breathers. Later additions to the north and south are of no architectural interest. The barn is included in the listing primarily for its group value.
