Description

Tower House is a late 18th-century and 19th-century windmill that has been converted and extended into a house, with 20th-century additions. The building is constructed of rendered brick with a plain tile roof, and features an octagonal roof relating to the original mill. It is composed of a two-storey section and a three-storey mill at the east side. The mill is circular in plan and tapers. The south elevation displays casement windows to the mill, with two small-pane casements to the ground floor, two similar above, and one similar above again. To the left are two more windows and a doorway with a half-glazed door and overlight, with three similar windows above. All windows have slightly segmental heads. A single-storey 20th-century range extends to the west and a 20th-century garage to the east, neither of which are of particular interest. A 20th-century extension is also present to the north and is not of special interest. The mill has a 19th-century two-light casement window to the north and a small square window to the east.
