Description
Corner House is a house from the early 18th century, constructed of cement-rendered brick with a plain tile roof featuring brick coped gables and plain kneelers. It has gable stacks and is designed in an L-shape over two storeys. The west elevation is symmetrical with three bays and includes first and second floor bands. A central 20th-century gabled porch encloses a doorway with a flat arch and a 20th-century door. On either side of the porch are 19th-century glazing bar sash windows under wedge lintels, with three similar windows above, the centre one being blind. Inside, there is a small winder staircase at attic level with splat balusters, a chamfered handrail, and ball finials. The principal beams are stop chamfered, and there are remains of an inglenook in the rear wing. One upper room features a bolection moulded chimneypiece.
