Description
The Overflow System for Melbourne Pond is a 19th-century weir located in the gardens of Melbourne Hall. It features a covered overflow head and an underground chamber accessible from the east. The eastern entrance has a low rock-faced stone facade, leading to a barrel-vaulted tunnel and a large chamber beyond. The overflow head, positioned beside Melbourne Pond, has a hipped lapped stone roof and a small doorway on the east side. This system is designed for draining Melbourne Pond.
