Description

Midway Farmhouse is a late 18th or early 19th century farmhouse situated in a garden setting, with farm buildings located to the rear. It is constructed of red brick with a brick eaves band and cornice, and has a tiled roof with end stacks. The house is two and a half storeys high, with a symmetrical facade featuring three windows. The outer windows have three lights, while the central window has two. These are casement windows with glazing bars, set within cambered head linings. An eastern ground floor window has been replaced by a 20th century square bay. The front door is six-panelled and includes a quadrapartite fanlight above. There is an attic window in the gable end. At the rear, a two-storey crosswing features a steeply pitched roof that slopes down from the main ridge line, and has one window and an end chimney.
