Description
Elm Farmhouse and its attached outbuildings are a farmhouse dating from the 18th century, with an enlargement in the early 19th century. The building is constructed of red brick and features a Welsh slate roof with external gable stacks. It stands two storeys high and has a symmetrical three-bay east elevation. The central doorway has a wedge lintel and contains a panelled door with a rectangular overlight that has glazing bars. On either side of the doorway are glazing bar sash windows, also under wedge lintels. Above, there are three similar windows. Inside, there is an open string stick baluster staircase that extends through both storeys. Attached to the north is a rubblestone and brick barn with a plain tile roof. One of the outbuildings has the date 1845 carved into a brick.
