Description
Brook End House is a house dating from the late 17th century and late 18th century. It is constructed of red brick with a plain tile roof, featuring brick gable stacks and brick coped gables with plain kneelers. The building has a stone plinth and a sawtooth eaves cornice. It stands two storeys tall with a three-bay south elevation that includes a central doorway with a wedge lintel. The door is raised and fielded panelled, topped by a rectangular overlight with margin light glazing. On either side of the door are glazing bar sash windows, also under wedge lintels. The upper storey has three similar windows, with the central one being narrower and also under a wedge lintel. Inside, the lower flight of the staircase features widely spaced 17th-century wavy splat balusters, and there is an inglenook fireplace.
