Description

The Main Well is a village water pump located on Main Road in the parish of Barlow. It dates from 1840 and is made of cast iron, featuring an obelisk shape. The pump has a date inscribed at the top, with a handle and a spout on the body. Below the spout, there is a stone trough and a plain pedestal. The pump is surrounded by a simple walled enclosure.
