Description

The outbuilding located to the south-east of Chiverton House is a Grade II listed structure, originally built around 1712 and later remodeled in the early 19th century. It was formerly used as stables and a brewhouse. The building is constructed from regularly coursed squared coal measures sandstone, featuring quoins, a brick stack on the north gable, and a stone slate roof.

This single-storey building has overlofts and consists of three bays. The west elevation is partially blocked by the boundary wall of Chiverton House, which ends between the first and second bays. The southern two bays include window openings with channelled three-centred arched heads and flush stone frames. There are louvred windows with radiating glazing bars at the tops. The central doorway has a quoined surround and a three-centred arched head, leading to a plain door. Additionally, there is an overloft door at the apex of the south gable. A further doorway and a taking-in door are obscured by the boundary wall.
