Description
The garden walls and gatepiers located to the south-east of Cutthorpe Hall date from the 18th century. They are constructed from coursed rubble sandstone and form the boundary of Cutthorpe Hall. The walls rise to a height of 2 metres and feature quoined returns, ramped copings at the junctions with lower walling, and flat copings at the top. The raised gateway is approached by five semicircular steps that decrease in size. This gateway is flanked by ashlar gatepiers, which are square in plan and rise just above the level of the wall, each topped with a boldly oversailing moulded cap. A plain boarded gate completes the entrance.
