Description
Fields Farmhouse is a 17th century building with later alterations, constructed from coursed stone with quoins and a stone slate roof. The eastern side is the oldest part of the structure. It is two storeys tall, originally featuring attic windows in the gable ends, and has asymmetrical gables with a recessed western section that contains one bay, although the windows here are now blocked up. To the west, there is a two-storey section with one window, which has late 18th century or early 19th century casements. A modern brick porch has been added to the front. At the rear, there is an external brick and stone stair leading to the upper level, which also has three windows that are either 18th century or early 19th century casements, or modern glazing in older window spaces. Additionally, there is a loft door and a pitching eye in the gable end, along with garage doors and another door located at the east end of the north facade.
