Description
Stone Edge Farmhouse is a farmhouse dating from the mid-18th century, with some alterations made in the 20th century. It is constructed from regularly coursed squared gritstone, featuring ashlar dressings, quoins, and coped gables with moulded kneelers. The building has three ashlar stacks, two located at the gables and one on the ridge, all topped with moulded caps. The roof is stone slated.
The east elevation consists of two storeys and three bays, with an off-centre doorway that has a massive surround and lintel, leading to a plain plank door. Each bay contains stacked 2-light flush-mullioned windows fitted with 6-pane glazing bar casements. At the rear, there is a lean-to offshut. In front of the house, there is a low boundary wall with flat copings that includes two stepped gateways leading to a paved threshold.
