Description

This is a large and unusual terrace range dating from 1857. The building is constructed of roughly-dressed stone rubble with ashlar dressings. It rises three storeys and features nine sash windows; five have moulded cornices, while four single-light windows have hood-moulds. Horizontal bands run across the facade. Quoins are visible at the centre and sides of the building. There are four doorways, each with an arched fanlight above. Three canted bay windows are present, each with a moulded stone cornice that extends across the facade as a band. A moulded cornice with drop finials runs along the eaves, topped by three small gables with ornamental barge-boards. The roof is slate-covered. The building is listed at Grade II for group value, forming a group with Nos 3 to 15 (odd) Knowleston Place.
