Description

The former King's Head Inn is a late 17th-century stone building located on Church Street, Matlock. It is a two-storey structure with two two-light mullioned windows, where the mullions divide the window panes. The lower right-hand window has a hood mould above it. A simple stone doorcase marks the original doorway, though the entrance has now been blocked on the left-hand side. The building features dressed stone angles, two gables (one of which is small), and plain eaves covered in tiles.
