Description
North Farmhouse in Little Cubley is an early 19th-century farmhouse that has undergone later 19th-century alterations and additions. It is constructed of red brick with brick dressings and stone sills, topped with a plain tile roof featuring overhanging eaves and two brick gable stacks. The building has a plain brick band at the first floor and dentilled eaves. It stands three storeys tall, with the top storey likely being a later addition, and is arranged in three bays.
The central entrance features a semi-circular headed doorcase with a 20th-century glazed door beneath an original fanlight, which is sheltered by a small brick porch with a gabled roof. Flanking the entrance are three-light casement windows with segmental heads. On the first floor, there are two similar windows and a central two-light window. The top floor has three flat-headed glazing bar Yorkshire sashes, with the central window being two-light and the flanking windows three-light. Attached to the north side is a single-storey lean-to that includes a 20th-century door and window.
