Description

Agnes Meadow Farm is a farmhouse dating from the 17th and 19th centuries, situated in the parish of Kniveton. The building is constructed of coursed rubble limestone with gritstone dressings, and has a plain tiled roof with a central brick stack. It is two and three storeys high, with a 19th-century brick lean-to extension at the rear.

The south elevation features a large gabled central porch with a door positioned off-centre. The window openings are irregular and have been altered over time. Two 17th-century windows remain original: one is a two-light window and the other is a three-light window with chamfered mullions, some of which retain dripmoulds. Flush quoins are also present.

On the east elevation, a three-light and a two-light chamfered mullion window, both with dripmoulds, are blocked. The west elevation shows a ground-floor single-light window and a two-light mullion window. A renewed two-light mullion window is on the first floor. A three-light recessed chamfered mullion window is on the second floor, and a two-light recessed chamfered mullion window is found in the attic.
