Description
Woodhead Farm is a 17th-century farmhouse located on Agnes Meadow Lane in the parish of Kniveton. The building is constructed from coursed rubble limestone with gritstone dressings, although much of it is now roughcast. It features a plain tiled roof with stone-coped gables that have finials and a central brick stack. There is a rear wing that has a stone slate roof with a brick gable end stack. The farmhouse is designed in a T-plan and has two storeys with dormers.
On the south elevation, there is an off-centre modern timber and rubblestone porch that includes a half-glazed door. The windows are arranged irregularly and include one, two, three, and four-light recessed chamfered mullion windows, some of which have dripstones. The west elevation is whitewashed and features a blocked four-light recessed chamfered mullion window with a dripstone on the ground floor, a three-light chamfered mullion window with a dripstone above, another similar window above that, and a blocked single window with a dripstone as well as a blocked single light with a dripstone in the attic. The north wing has one three-light recessed chamfered mullion window.
