Description
Atlow Moat Farmhouse is a farmhouse that dates from the 17th century, with early 19th century and late 19th century alterations. It is constructed of coursed rubble with ashlar dressings, featuring tiled roofs and brick stacks. The early 19th century south front has three bays and two storeys, with stone quoins. The central doorway has a moulded ashlar surround and a 20th century wooden porch, with double six panel doors and a rectangular overlight. This doorway is flanked by glazing bar sash windows with plain ashlar surrounds, and there are three similar windows above. To the west, there is a two-storey, two bay late 19th century wing, and to the east, a single-storey outbuilding. The north front features two stone coped gables with brick stacks and irregular fenestration, including two two-light chamfered mullioned windows and one four-light chamfered mullioned window with three lights blocked. The east front also has irregular fenestration with two two-light chamfered mullioned windows.
