Description
This is a table tomb located 14 yards south of the south porch of St Andrews Church, dating from the early 18th century. It is made of sandstone and features a flush panelled base with rusticated quoins at each corner, along with a central rusticated band on each side. Above the base is a thick slab that has a fillet along the edge and deep chamfered sides. The eastern panel on the north side contains an inscription that reads, "Here lieth the ? of Robert Wh? who departed this life August ? 170?". This tomb is part of a group of early 18th century gravestones and table tombs found in the churchyard of Cubley.
