Description
Church Farmhouse is an early 18th-century farmhouse located on the east side of Main Street in the parish of Hognaston. It is constructed of coursed rubble gritstone with ashlar dressings and features a tiled roof with stone coped gables, kneelers, and brick gable end stacks. The building has a moulded eaves cornice and flush ashlar quoins. It is three storeys high and has a double fronted design, with a later wing added at the rear.
The central doorway is framed by a moulded stone surround and a segmental pediment, featuring a half-glazed 19th-century door with leaded lights. This doorway is flanked by two 2-light flush stone mullion windows that have modern casements. Above these, there are similar but slightly smaller windows, and above the doorway, a staircase window extends through two floors.
