Description
The Old Manor House is a farmhouse that dates from the 17th century, 18th century, and early 19th century. It is built from coursed squared sandstone with sandstone dressings and quoins, topped with a Welsh slate roof that features a central ridge stack on the main block and a ridge stack on the north wing. The gables are stone-coped with moulded kneelers. The building has two storeys, with the main range having cross wings that project from both sides and a square plinth.
The north elevation is double fronted, with a gabled wing projecting to the right. The central doorway features a moulded doorcase with half columns and a 20th-century glazed door. This doorway is flanked by glazing bar sash windows set under wedge stone lintels, with 20th-century louvred shutters. Above, there are two similar windows. The return wall of the projecting wing has a staircase window at an intermediate height, also under a wedge stone lintel, with 20th-century glazing.
On the garden elevation, there is a projecting gabled bay with a glazing bar sash window on each floor. To the left, there is a small rectangular window on the ground floor, and to the right, there is a glazing bar sash window on each floor, followed by a three-light casement.
