Description
Lodge Farmhouse is a farmhouse dating from the early 17th century and mid-18th century. It is constructed of coursed squared sandstone with sandstone dressings and red brick, topped with a plain tile roof that features a brick ridge stack and one gable stack. The stone coped gables are adorned with moulded kneelers. The building is two storeys high and has a lobby entrance plan.
The west elevation consists of four bays, with the right-hand bay made of brick. There is an off-centre doorway that has a chamfered stone surround and a studded oak plank door. To the left of the doorway are three two-light recessed and chamfered mullion windows with leaded lights, and above them are three similar windows. The roof features two full dormers, each with coped gables and moulded kneelers, which also contain two-light recessed and chamfered mullion windows. The brick bay includes a two-light segment headed casement window on each floor, with the upper window being smaller. The rear elevation has two two-light ovolo moulded windows on each floor, although one of each is blocked.
