Description
Beech Hill Farmhouse is a farmhouse dating from the mid-18th century, with early 19th-century alterations to the south elevation. It is constructed from regularly coursed squared rubble gritstone, featuring ashlar dressings, and has projecting quoins on the front elevation. The building has a moulded eaves band, coped gables with moulded kneelers, and roofs covered with Welsh slates. The layout is in a 'T' plan, with an asymmetrical pitched roof on the lower rear range and an added brick lean-to.
The south elevation is two storeys high and has two bays, with sash windows that have margin glazing set within projecting stone surrounds. The central doorway features a quoined surround and a six-panelled door, with the upper two panels being glazed. The centre of the rear elevation includes a three-stage stair window with a flush surround. The rear wing has a 2-light flush mullioned window and a doorway with a massive surround.
