Description
Rosedene is a house built in the late 18th century, with some additions made in the 20th century. It is constructed from coursed rubble gritstone, featuring ashlar dressings, quoins, coped gables with plain kneelers, and end ashlar ridge stacks. The roof is plain tiled with stone slated eaves. The house has two storeys and two bays, with 2-light flush-mullioned windows and 20th-century leaded casements. There is an off-centre doorway with a substantial lintel and jambs, which is enclosed by a 20th-century porch that has a pitched roof and a segmental arched opening. There are single-storey additions on the east and west ends, both with pitched roofs; the one on the west is smaller and lower, featuring a coped gable. Rosedene is listed for its group value.
