Description

This is an early 17th-century cottage situated on the east side of Middle Street. Constructed of coursed rubble, it features a thatched roof. The cottage has a 1½-storey design and a 3-unit plan. To the left of the doorway is a single bay containing a 3-light casement window. To the right of that is a 2-light casement window with a flat timber lintel, and a 2-light stone mullioned window with an ovolo moulded frame and a hoodmould. A chamfered stone fire window is located further to the right. There are two dormers above the main windows. Within the right-hand gable wall is a blocked 4-centred arched doorway, above which is a 2-light stone mullioned window. A brick gable end stack is also present.
