Description

These are a pair of houses, likely dating from the mid-18th century, though they were not built as a single structure as evidenced by a vertical joint separating them. The houses are constructed from coursed rubble with a stone-tiled roof. They are two storeys high. The left-hand house has a two-unit plan and a centrally placed doorway with a chamfered timber lintel. To the left of the doorway is a two-light casement window, and to the right a blocked fire window with a chamfered timber lintel, alongside a three-light casement window. The right-hand house has a new doorway on its left side, and a full-height, canted bay window made of ashlar with thin wood angle mullions. This bay window likely replaced a previous stone feature. Various two-light casement windows are positioned above. The houses have coped gables as well as gable and axial stacks. To the left, a lower, additional bay features a Welsh slate roof and a two-light casement window.
