Description

MILL STREET 1. 1469 (West Side) Nos 11A, 13 and 15 SK 8608 1/161 II GV 2. Originally early C18 or before, but most features early C20. 2 storeys in stone. Steep welsh slate roof with red ridge tile and brick stacks. Break eaves cornice. 3 4-light early C20 casement windows break eaves under rough-rendered gables with half-timbered ornament. 3 other casement windows alternate with these gabled windows, 1 being of 2-lights and 2 of 3-lights, wood lintels. Ground floor has 5 irregular windows, including early C19 shop windows with reeded pilasters. Wood lintels to 2 windows and 2 doors. 1 modern shop window and 1 canted rectangular bay with glazing bars in old opening. Listed solely as part of a group in an important street. Nos llA to 21 (odd) form a group.]
