Description

The Taylor Tomb is a table tomb located in the churchyard of St. Peter, dated 1840. It is made of stone and designed in the shape of a sarcophagus. The tomb features carved reversed torches at each corner, four tablets with inscriptions, and four small pediments adorned with palm leaves, honeysuckle, and arabesques. The inscription commemorates Rowland Taylor, who died in 1840. The tomb is situated to the south of the chancel of St. Peter's Church and is included for its group value.
