Description
This is a detached residential block located 20 meters southeast of Cripps Hall of Residence, built between 1957 and 1959 by the architectural firm Farquaharson, McMorran & Whitby, and endowed by Cyril Thomas Cripps. The building is constructed of buff brick with ashlar dressings and features hipped green slate roofs with parapets, reflecting the Renaissance Revival style. It is a single rectangular block that stands three stories high and has ten windows. The ground floor includes ashlar doorcases in the second and sixth bays, while the upper floors have a regular arrangement of windows, which are primarily glazing bar sashes with brick flat arches.
