Description

This is a shop and offices built in 1902 by JWJ Barnes of Nottingham for Charles Hibbert. The building was altered around 1990. Constructed of brick with an ashlar front and a slate roof, it is in a Renaissance Revival style. The property is three storeys high plus attics, with a single bay. The windows are mainly original plain sashes, divided by pilasters. The ground floor features an arcaded design with two granite Doric columns and a shopfront dating from the late 20th century. Above the ground floor is a segmental oriel window, spanning two storeys and containing three lights, topped with a balustraded balcony. The following storey has three windows beneath a cornice, finished with a shaped coped gable.
