Description

The Community Centre and Workspace Units at the Church of All Saints, originally known as All Saints' Institute, were built between 1864 and 1865 by the architectural firm Hine & Evans of Nottingham for William Windley. The building features late 19th-century additions and was converted in the late 20th century. Constructed from rockfaced Bulwell stone with ashlar dressings and topped with banded plain tile roofs, it showcases a Gothic Revival style.

The structure has a plinth and windows with two and three lights, primarily featuring cusped pointed arched lights and stone mullions. It is designed in an L-plan, with two storeys and a single storey, and consists of four sets of four windows. The north-east front is buttressed and includes a round bell tower on the left with two lancet windows and a band of Gothic vents beneath a tiled conical spire. To the right, there are three flat-headed windows, and above them, three pointed arched windows, with one window altered to serve as a doorway. The south-east front, which is of the same height but single storey, has four windows, and each gable features two 2-light windows with hood moulds. A recessed wing on the north-east side has a similar gable window with three lights and two side windows, also with three lights.

Inside, the building is divided horizontally and has a double purlin roof with wall shafts. The late 19th-century addition includes a steel truss roof with traceried sheet metal spandrels. This building serves as an ancillary structure to the Church of All Saints.
