Description
The bridge, pedestals, and screen walls at the entrance to the boating lake were built between 1922 and 1928 and are constructed from ashlar. The bridge features a paved path that crosses over a small stream and has a single round arch with a keystone. It is flanked by a low parapet wall that includes four square pedestals. On either side of the bridge, there are curved ashlar walls with end piers that enclose a small pool. Alongside the path, there are seven square piers with plinths and flat caps, which were likely originally connected by a railing. At the end closest to the lake, there are screen walls that run parallel to the lakeside, featuring five similar piers. This structure is part of the architectural design of a public park developed by Sir Jesse Boot.
