Description
Numbers 3 to 9 are a row of four terraced houses, now used as offices, built around 1855. They are constructed of red brick with coursed squared stone basements and ashlar dressings, some of which are painted. The houses have hipped slate roofs featuring three ridge stacks and a single side wall brick stack. Architectural details include quoins, a first-floor sill band, and an enriched modillion eaves cornice. The buildings rise three storeys plus a basement and have an eight-window range. Most windows are original glazing bar sashes, with 12-pane sashes on the first floor featuring moulded surrounds, and 9-pane sashes above. The ground floor openings also have moulded surrounds with cornices, alternating between doors and windows. The exterior features stone steps with brick piers and cast-iron balustrade railings, along with similar area railings on brick plinths topped with ashlar copings. The basement has segment-headed windows with keystones.
