Description
No. 315 on Burton Road is an early to mid-19th century building that was originally a toll house. It is constructed of red brick, with the front painted. The building has two storeys and features a two-light stone mullioned window with pointed arched heads and forked glazing bars, along with a rectangular hood mould. On the ground floor, there are two similar windows and a plain doorway that has a later rectangular fanlight and a flush-panelled door. The front of the building is gabled and adorned with ornamental barge-boards. The west side has a similar elevation but includes a small modern window. The roof is covered with slates, and there is a modern one-storey addition at the rear.
