Description

St Alkmund's Well is a structure with medieval origins located on Well Street at the junction with Bath Street. The well is small and made of stone, featuring a jet of water and is set below street level. Access to the well is via three stone steps. There is a low stone wall on the right-hand side, which has been added, along with iron railings surrounding three sides of the well.
