Description

The Gables is likely of 17th or 18th century origin. It is constructed of red brick and comprises two storeys and an attic, with four windows in total. The windows are a mix of 2 19th-century casements and 2 modern replacements. The building features two gables adorned with 19th-century ornamental bargeboards and horizontal bands. It has two plain doorways, each with a 19th-century gabled porch, and is tiled. A later one-window bay extends from the right-hand side and contains a doorway leading to No 5. The Gables, along with Nos 1 and 2 The Hollow, form a cohesive group.
