Description

BADSWORTH NEW ROAD SE41SE 6/40 Sundial approx. 15 - metres south of Church of St. Mary GV II

Sundial. Dated 1822 on plate. Sandstone, magnesian limestone, and brass. Low base of sandstone, approx. 1 metre square but rounded on the south side; simple vase pedestal of limestone, with moulded foot and cap. Brass plate with scrolled gnomon, the plate lettered:-

"I. Froggatt Fecit 1822"
