Description
Number 5 is a house that has been converted into offices, with basement railings. It was built between 1793 and 1806 and underwent restoration around 1990. The building is likely designed by William Hargrave. It has two storeys and a basement, featuring five windows on the first floor. The central entrance has a panelled door with a fanlight, surrounded by fluted pilasters, an entablature, and a pediment. The windows are restored sashes with glazing bars, stone sills, and wedge lintels. There is a dentilled cornice at the eaves and stacks at the ends. The interior has not been inspected. This building is part of the Park Square development, which was created for merchants and professionals moving away from the crowded medieval town centre.
