Description
This is a row of three, later four, cottages that have been converted into two houses. They date from around 1800 and have been altered in the 20th century. The cottages are built of coursed stone with low-pitched stone slate roofs and are single storey. Number 4 was added on the left, and the entrances to Numbers 1 and 3 have been changed to windows. Each cottage is one window wide, featuring two or three lights with plain painted stone mullions and surrounds. The windows have sashes without glazing bars, and modern casements have been inserted in Number 3. There are two stone stacks. Number 4, on the left, has an added porch and four-pane sashes. The interior has not been inspected. Despite the alterations, this row is a rare example of single-storey cottages from this period.
