Description

This is a late 18th-century canal revetment wall associated with Whitecote House. The wall runs approximately 50 metres in length, and is constructed of coursed squared stonework. Sections of the wall have been lost due to collapse. A wrought-iron railing and gate are attached to the wall. The railing features interlaced bars and roundels. A narrow gate is located opposite the north wing cellar and ground floor entrance, and there is evidence of a further gate opposite the south wing doorway.
