Description

Bridge 221 over the Leeds and Liverpool Canal is a canal bridge built in the late 18th century. It is constructed of coursed gritstone and features an elliptical arch with chamfered voussoirs and shallow ridged coping. The Leeds and Liverpool Canal was built between 1770 and 1816, and Pollard Lane served as an important route connecting Bradford with the Horsforth and Kirkstall areas of Leeds.
