Description

Ashfield House is an 18th and 19th century building constructed of ashlar with a Welsh slate roof. It is five windows wide, with the central three bays projecting forward. The windows are hung sashes with glazing bars, and a band runs along the cills. A central doorway is topped by a portico supported by two Tuscan columns. The window above the doorway has an architrave and cornice. The building features a dentil eaves cornice and a plain roof parapet. A Venetian staircase window is located at the rear. The side of the building has a three-light rounded bow. Rear additions dating from the mid-19th century include a balustraded parapet. Ashfield House and the associated former stables form a group.
