Description

Ellis Terrace comprises four houses built between 1831 and 1850 on Headingley Moor. The houses are constructed of coursed squared gritstone with ashlar detailing, and have a slate roof. They are two storeys high with five windows on the first floor. A round-arched entrance, with dressed voussoirs, is located far to the left. The terrace is arranged in pairs: the outer houses (Nos. 4 and 5) have doors on the left, while the remaining pair (Nos. 6 and 7) have doors on the right. The original panelled doors and sash windows with glazing bars were replaced in 1976. Corniced ashlar stacks are positioned on the ridge between the properties. The interior has not been inspected. Ellis Terrace is one of a group of small houses built in the area by 1850.
