Description
This barn, located approximately 15 meters west of Hawks House, is likely from the mid-18th century. It features a hammer-dressed stone slate roof and is a single-aisled structure with five bays. The barn has quoins and a cart-entry in the third bay that is set under a segmental arch. To the right of this entry, there is a doorway with an overlight and rectangular ventilators. At the rear, there is a lower segmental-arched cart-entry.
Inside, the barn has two posts on padstones that are straight braced to an arcade-plate. It also includes king-post trusses with curved principal rafters, which do not have struts, and a post that is braced to a square-set ridge.
