Description
Quarrie Dene is a large house built in the late 18th century and early 19th century. It features coursed stone with ashlar dressings and has a low-pitched slate roof that is hipped on the right side. The house is two storeys high and has a façade with three windows on the left and one on the right. The central entrance consists of a panelled door with a rectangular overlight, set beneath a porch supported by Tuscan columns. This porch features an entablature and cornice with a low blocking course.
The windows include a large three-light sash with glazing bars on the left and a two-light square bay with pilasters and an entablature on the right. On the first floor, there are 12-pane and 16-pane sashes, with a continuous sill band and plain stone surrounds. There are chimney stacks located to the right of the centre and at the left end of the house. The interior has not been inspected.
